Della in one view
Della Group is a design-led group of businesses founded by Jimmy Mistry. What began in 1991 with interiors and furniture has grown into townships, hospitality, adventure, luxury products and leadership communities.
It started with interiors and furniture manufacturing, and grew one business at a time into architecture, real estate, adventure, hospitality and leadership communities. Today it creates Della Townships India: future-fit integrated luxury townships in 10 Indian cities.

Della Adventure Training Academy: a military-themed luxury glamping resort and civilian training academy on Shirota Lake, Lonavala.
Distinction Described by Della as the world's first luxury military-themed glamping resort, and home to India's first counter-terrorism training academy for civilians (2017).

From an idea to an ecosystem
Design led to manufacturing, then to architecture, real estate, adventure, hospitality, community and, today, townships.
At 19, Jimmy Mistry starts his first business with two employees and ₹20,000.
Della enters interior contracting.
Tecnica Office Systems begins manufacturing modular office furniture at its first factory in Nagpur.
India's first Italian furniture showroom opens at Rati Villa, Mumbai. Della Tecnica represents 27 Italian furniture companies.
The first turnkey interior project, for Star TV in Mumbai.
Della ventures into architecture with its first project, the Star News building in Mumbai.
Della enters real estate with Della Tower, a Persian architectural landmark in Mumbai and today the Group's headquarters.
The defining moment: luxury second homes, starting with a 24-villa pilot project in Lonavala.
Della opens India's first extreme adventure park in Lonavala.
Camp Della opens as India's first glamping tent resort, with the 24-hour Della Spa.
India's first counter-terrorism training academy for civilians opens, followed by a military-themed glamping resort in 2018.

The man behind Della
Design Futurist, Master Planner & Creator of Future-Fit Cities
Jimmy Mistry is the Founder & CMD of Della Group and the creator of the vision behind Della Townships India, a network of real-world laboratories exploring how humanity could live over the next 100 years.
For more than three decades, he has worked at the intersection of design, architecture, hospitality, adventure, real estate and entrepreneurship. He began in 1991 with two employees and ₹20,000, and moved from interior contracting into furniture manufacturing, architecture and real estate.
The future of human living cannot only be discussed. It has to be built.

DLC is headquartered in New York (One World Trade Center) and Mumbai, with chapters in cities including London, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok. The DLC Guide rates restaurants in New York, London, Dubai, Singapore and India.
Purpose
“Whatever businesses we are into must improve the experiences and the lives of as many people as possible.”
Della Foundation adopted the Z.P. school in Lonavala, impacting more than 220 underprivileged children. In 2014, MBA students from NYU Stern School of Business studied how Della Resorts affects local communities in Lonavala.
Della Townships India are planned around salutogenic design: environments that keep people healthy physically, mentally and socially. The aim, in Della's words, is to add years to life and life to years.
Della Townships India Laboratories investigate challenges that could shape future cities, including a collaboration with IIT Madras on microalgae-based carbon sequestration and work on turning landfill waste into construction materials.
Careers
Della has spent 30 years creating things India didn't have yet: its first Italian furniture showroom, its first extreme adventure park, its first glamping resort, and now future-fit integrated townships. That work is done by more than 3,000 people across design, development, hospitality, wellness, adventure, engineering, sales and operations.
