Project: Della Township – Racecourse Project
Location: Pune
Role Overview:
The MEP Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Fighting, and Utility Services activities at the project site. The role will ensure that all MEP works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
The incumbent will coordinate closely with contractors, vendors, consultants, and site engineers to ensure smooth project execution across township and high-rise residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision
• Supervise day-to-day MEP installation activities at the project site.
• Ensure execution of MEP works as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor manpower deployment and contractor productivity.
• Verify work progress and report daily activities to the site engineering team.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks as per project schedules.
Electrical Works Supervision
• Monitor installation of electrical systems including conduits, wiring, panels, lighting, earthing, transformers, DG sets, and power distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and approved layouts.
• Coordinate with electrical contractors for smooth execution and rectification of site issues.
Mechanical Works Supervision
• Supervise installation of HVAC systems, ventilation systems, pumps, utility equipment, WTP, STP, and related mechanical services.
• Ensure proper installation practices and adherence to technical specifications.
• Report technical deviations and site issues to the MEP Engineer.
Plumbing & Fire Fighting Supervision
• Monitor plumbing installations including water supply, drainage, sewage, and stormwater systems.
• Supervise installation of fire fighting systems such as hydrants, sprinklers, fire pumps, and related piping networks.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and approved drawings.
Quality & Safety Compliance
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure workmanship quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and site regulations.
• Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities and initiate corrective actions.
• Monitor housekeeping and safety practices within work areas.
Material Management
• Verify receipt and utilization of MEP materials at site.
• Monitor material consumption and report shortages to the engineering team.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and equipment.
• Assist in maintaining inventory records and material reconciliation.
Testing & Commissioning Support
• Assist engineers during testing and commissioning activities.
• Support system inspections, punch point closures, and snag rectification.
• Ensure readiness of installations prior to inspections and testing.
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain daily work progress records.
• Prepare manpower and contractor activity reports.
• Report delays, technical issues, and site constraints to the MEP Engineer.
• Assist in maintaining site records, inspection reports, and quality checklists.
Contractor Coordination
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure uninterrupted work progress.
• Monitor contractor performance and adherence to project schedules.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the engineering team for timely resolution
Required Qualifications:
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
• ITI with relevant MEP experience may also be considered for experienced candidates.
• Additional certifications in Electrical Systems, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, or Building Services will be an advantage.
• 5–8 years of experience in supervision of MEP works for Real Estate, Township, High-Rise Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, or Infrastructure Projects.
• Experience in integrated township developments and high-rise residential projects preferred.
• Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting Systems.
• Ability to read and understand MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of site execution practices and installation methodologies.
• Understanding of quality and safety standards.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD drawings and site documentation.
• Familiarity with NBC, IS Codes, and construction safety requirements
