Position: Head - Learning & Development (Ex- Defence Personnel)
Department: Learning & Development (L&D)
Reports to: Chairman & Managing Director
Organisation Verticals: 1. Della Resorts & Adventure - Leadership Development Centre
2. Della Adventure Training & Academy (D.A.T.A)
Location: Lonavala
Experience Required: 10–15 years (Training, Leadership Development & Corporate Learning). Preferred from Armed Forces background only.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished General Manager – Learning & Development to lead our Learning & Development (L&D) verticals, delivering training solutions to external clients while strengthening internal capability-building initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with proven experience in designing and implementing impactful learning programs that support business growth, enhance workforce competencies, and foster a strong organisational learning culture. Must possess exceptional facilitation, stakeholder management, and programme development skills to drive high-performing, transformative learning initiatives across the organisation..
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Vertical Management
• Lead and build the new Learning & Development vertical as a business offering.
• Define the vertical’s vision, service portfolio, revenue model, and long-term growth plan.
• Establish strong systems, processes, and frameworks to ensure cohesive and scalable operations.

2. Training Design & Delivery (External Clients)
• Develop and deliver customised training programs for external client organisations across leadership, behavioural skills, culture-building, soft skills, and performance development.
• Engage with client leadership to understand needs, propose solutions, and ensure high-impact delivery.
• Represent the organisation as a thought leader through workshops, seminars, and corporate learning events.

3. Internal Learning & Workforce Development
• Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps, training needs, and development goals.
• Design and execute training modules for employees across all levels to strengthen organisational capability.
• Support internal leaders and their teams through leadership development, performance coaching, and continuous learning initiatives.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external clients, HR teams, CXOs, and business leaders.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align L&D initiatives with business goals.
• Ensure consistent communication, feedback loops, and stakeholder satisfaction.

5. Team Development & Resource Management
• Build, mentor, and guide a team of trainers, facilitators, and L&D specialists.
• Engage external experts and partners to broaden the training offerings.
• Manage budgets, resources, and operational planning for the L&D vertical.

6. Measurement & Continuous Improvement
• Implement evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness, ROI, and behavioural impact.
• Analyse feedback and performance data to enhance program quality.
• Cntinuously update training methodologies and content based on industry trends and organisational needs.


Job Expectations:

Required Skills and Experience:
• 12–18 years of experience in Learning & Development, Corporate Training, Leadership Development, or Organisational Development.
• Retired Army/Armed Forces Officer with strong leadership, discipline, and training orientation.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering high-impact training programs for both internal teams and external clients.
• Excellent stakeholder management, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
• Current experience delivering corporate trainings is mandatory.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and public-speaking skills in English and Hindi.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage teams and build positive learning environments.
• Ability to manage multiple training initiatives and collaborate with senior leaders.
• Strong understanding of behavioural training and leadership development.
• Self-driven, confident, and capable of influencing behavioural transformation within the organisation.

 


Minimum Qualification:

Bachelors Masters in Business Studies or relevant

Minimum Job Experience:

8-10 Years
