Head Architect – Township Planning

Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Head Architect – Township Planning to lead the master planning and architectural direction of large-scale luxury township developments.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in luxury township planning, demonstrate strong collaboration with international design consultants, and possess deep expertise in integrating architecture, landscape, infrastructure, and hospitality elements into a unified high-end development.

This role requires strategic thinking, design excellence, technical depth, and leadership capability in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Master Planning & Design Leadership

• Lead conceptualization and execution of large-scale luxury township master plans.
• Define zoning strategies, land utilization, circulation, density distribution, and amenity planning.
• Ensure cohesive architectural language across villas, apartments, hospitality, retail, and public realm.
• Integrate landscape, water features, public spaces, and experiential design elements.

2. International Consultant Coordination

• Collaborate with globally reputed architects, landscape designers, hospitality planners, and specialist consultants.
• Manage coordination across time zones, design standards, and cultural working styles.
• Ensure global best practices are incorporated while adapting to local regulatory frameworks.
• Lead design workshops, charrettes, and executive design reviews.

3. Luxury Design Excellence

• Establish premium design benchmarks aligned with experiential luxury positioning.
• Oversee façade articulation, material palettes, and high-end detailing.
• Ensure hospitality-grade standards are reflected in residential planning.
• Maintain design integrity from concept through construction documentation.

4. Technical & Regulatory Oversight

• Ensure compliance with Mumbai and Maharashtra planning regulations.
• Coordinate with liaison teams for approvals and authority submissions.
• Review drawings for constructability, coordination, and design efficiency.
• Drive BIM-based coordination where applicable.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Development, Marketing, Sales, and Construction teams.
• Align master planning with commercial viability and product strategy.
• Support value engineering initiatives without compromising luxury positioning.
• Participate in investor and stakeholder presentations.

6. Team Leadership

• Build and mentor an in-house architectural and planning team.
• Oversee external consultants and ensure timeline adherence.
• Drive a high-performance, design-driven culture within the organization.

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s in Urban Design / Planning preferred).

15+ years of experience in large-scale township or mixed-use master planning.
