Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (QS) – Costing & Budgeting

Location: Dadar, Mumbai

Working Days: 6 days a week

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) with strong expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and pre-construction activities for large-scale township and luxury real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing project costs from inception through execution while ensuring financial efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Costing & Budgeting
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets for township developments
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis during the pre-construction phase
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets
• Evaluate cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

Quantity Surveying
• Perform quantity take-offs and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation
• Verify contractor bills, measurements, and certifications
• Track variations, claims, and change orders

Pre-Construction Activities
• Support tendering processes, including bid analysis and vendor comparison
• Assist in procurement planning and cost benchmarking
• Collaborate with design and planning teams for accurate cost projections

Contract & Vendor Management
• Review contracts and ensure commercial compliance
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers
• Manage payment schedules and cost reporting

Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain detailed cost reports, MIS, and financial tracking documents
• Provide regular updates to management on cost status and risks
• Ensure all documentation aligns with audit and compliance standards

Job Expectations:

Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, and budgeting
• Experience in township / large-scale residential projects
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software
• Good understanding of construction contracts and billing processes
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

• Prior experience in townships or luxury real estate projects is mandatory

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management

Minimum Job Experience:

4–10 years of experience in QS roles
