Events, Assistant Event Manager

Primary Purpose
Is responsible to supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in preparing facilities for events.
Major skills and accountabilities of position (4-6 major accountabilities)
1. Must be skilled in event management, computer savvy and proficient in MS Office.
2. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
3. Outstanding communication and negotiation ability.
4. Ability to coordinate data - determining time, place, and sequence of operations or action to be taken.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assign duties and instructs employees/workers in collection, assembly, and arrangement of articles for events and conference rooms, such as furnishings, decorations, displays, microphones, and tableware.
2. Inspect facilities for completeness of arrangements and instructs personnel to correct errors.
3. Prepare daily work assignment rosters and maintains work performance records.
4. Supervises others while determining or interpreting work procedures for a group of employees/workers, assigning specific duties, maintaining harmonious relations among them and promoting efficiency.
5. May perform cleaning duties for banquets and conventions as and when required.
6. Assist in maximizing profits and reward employees who to meet or exceed customer expectations.
7. Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and other duties as assigned.
Experience and qualifications required for the job
BSc/BA in PR, Marketing, Hospitality management or related field is preferable. Should have Proven experience as Event Executive/supervisor of minimum 4-5 years of experience.
