Position Summary

We are seeking a creative and skilled Gelato Maker to join our culinary and dessert production team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in crafting authentic gelato, sorbets, and frozen desserts with a focus on quality, consistency, innovation, and presentation. The role requires strong knowledge of ingredients, flavor balancing, production techniques, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Gelato Production

Prepare and produce a wide variety of gelato, sorbets, frozen yogurts, and specialty frozen desserts.
Ensure consistency in texture, flavor, appearance, and product quality.
Develop innovative seasonal flavors and signature recipes.
Monitor ingredient measurements, mixing, pasteurization, aging, churning, and storage processes.

Quality Control
Maintain high standards of freshness, hygiene, and presentation.
Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
Ensure all products comply with food safety and sanitation standards.

Inventory & Cost Management
Monitor stock levels of dairy products, flavorings, fruits, nuts, chocolates, and packaging materials.
Coordinate with procurement teams for sourcing quality ingredients.
Control wastage and maintain efficient production practices.

Equipment & Maintenance
Operate and maintain gelato machines, freezers, mixers, and related equipment.
Ensure proper cleaning and preventive maintenance of production tools and machinery.

Innovation & Guest Experience
Experiment with new flavors, textures, and premium ingredients.
Support dessert promotions, festive offerings, and special events.
Collaborate with pastry and culinary teams to enhance dessert experiences for guests.

Desired Candidate ProfileQualifications

Diploma/Certification in Bakery, Pastry, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.

Experience
2–5 years of experience in gelato, ice cream, pastry, or frozen dessert production.
Experience in luxury hospitality, cafés, dessert boutiques, or premium retail brands preferred.
Skills & Competencies


Minimum Qualification:

Diploma/Certification in Bakery, Pastry, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred

Minimum Job Experience:

2–5 years of experience in gelato, ice cream, pastry, or frozen dessert production
