Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard premium, tier-1 manufacturers and specialized boutique workshops across China that align with Della’s luxury standards.
• Source high-end building construction materials (e.g., premium flooring, luxury stones, architectural glass, custom hardware, etc.,).
• Source office and residential luxury products (e.g., high-end furniture, bespoke lighting fixtures, luxury sanitary ware, fabrics, and decorative artifacts).
• Develop a robust, risk-mitigated pipeline of alternative suppliers to ensure supply chain continuity.
2. Cost Optimization & Contract Negotiation
• Conduct end-to-end commercial negotiations, leveraging your understanding of local Chinese market dynamics to secure optimal pricing, credit terms, and lead times without compromising quality.
• Manage Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including FOB/CIF pricing, inland logistics, export customs duties, and compliance costs.
3. Quality Assurance & Factory Audits
• Conduct frequent in-person factory visits and production audits in China to ensure compliance with Della’s strict quality metrics and design blueprints.
• Bridge the gap between Indian design teams and Chinese manufacturing engineers, translating technical drawings and aesthetic nuances accurately.
• Oversee Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI) to drastically reduce defects and post-delivery rejections.
4. Cross-Border Supply Chain & Compliance
• Partner with logistics teams to streamline shipping, customs clearance, and port handling between China and India.
• Stay updated on Chinese export regulations, trade policies, and maritime logistics trends to mitigate potential delays.

Role Requirements & Qualifications:
Must-Have Language Proficiency
• Mandarin (Native or Professional Fluency): Absolute command over reading, writing, and speaking Mandarin is non-negotiable. You must be capable of drafting contract addendums, reading local factory certifications, and negotiating complex business terms directly in Mandarin.
Experience & Domain Expertise
• Industry Knowledge: Proven track record in sourcing building materials and luxury residential/office products. A deep understanding of luxury finishes, material grades, and high-end manufacturing processes is critical.
• Network: An active, pre-existing network of high-quality manufacturers, suppliers, and agents across key manufacturing hubs in China (e.g., Guangdong, Foshan, Zhejiang, Guzhen).


Minimum Qualification:

Any Batchelor's Degree

Minimum Job Experience:

8 to 12 years of core procurement and global sourcing experience, with a minimum of 5+ years dedicated exclusively to managing the China market.
