Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Steward to join the Japanese restaurant team at Della Resorts & Adventure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and operational excellence. The Steward will play a key role in creating an authentic Japanese dining experience through attentive service, professionalism, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
• Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Present menus and explain restaurant offerings, including Japanese dishes, beverages, and daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
• Ensure timely clearing, resetting, and preparation of tables.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Maintain a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor throughout service.
Restaurant Operations
• Set up the restaurant before service, including table settings, cutlery, crockery, glassware, and condiments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and pantry.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of crockery, glassware, and service equipment.
• Follow opening, closing, and shift handover procedures.
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service.
Food Safety & Hygiene
• Adhere to all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Follow grooming standards and maintain a clean, well-presented appearance.
• Handle food and beverages in accordance with hotel SOPs and HACCP guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Teamwork
• Assist colleagues during busy service periods.
• Participate in training sessions and continuously improve product knowledge.
• Support management in achieving guest satisfaction and operational goals.
Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel, or Japanese restaurant is preferred.
